Bruno has finished 2015-2017 4 seasons on-board M.Y. Symphony. He joined has a deckhand/motorman and leaving the boat now as a OOW. He joined the Symphony just before her delivery and helped with the set up deck and getting the yacht ready for her initial surveys. His aim when joining was to complete a season as a deckhand and gain experience in the day to day running of large deck team and in the driving a variety of tenders including single jets and twin props and running water sports activities. He got promoted to OOW before Caribbean season ‘16/’17. He was also trained as kitesurfing instructor and enjoys all water sports.
LSA and FFE checks, ISM, ISPS daily, monthly updates. Navigation watches, chart
corrections, passage planning and deck team management. Recently completed successfully
all audits. Running daily operations on my watch from guest interactions to water sports
activities. Being part of preparation for audits, vessel run as per commercial standards.
Also DP operations experience as Captain and Chief Mate encourage us to practise all
Role covered working as a member of the deck team to keep Symphony up to high
standard including maintenance of the paint, teak and tenders. I was also involved in crane
operations and tender driving (single jet+ twin prop). One of the most rewarding task on
board was looking after the kite surfing this involved teaching guest how to kite surf, being
the safety boat and advisor for the more experience guest. I also carried out the duty of
Navigational watch rating assisting OOW with ISM/ISPS checks.
Bruno has previously worked as a deck hand on M/Y's for many years running daily operations, team management. He is also experienced in water sports and outdoor activities. He is looking to transfer to a land position to work on exterior management and maintenance. He knows how to keep things running and how to be a successful leader in order to provide good services and safety.
