Carol is experienced in the engine room, the wheel house and all parts of yacht service, ten years working professionally as captain and mate on motor yachts ranging from 50-155’, and over two years working commercially as Second Engineer on a research boat with over 300 days at sea. She is looking for a position as mate on 150’ motor yacht or mate/engineer on 100’.
Helped Captain present to Owner obtain and coalesce 20
offers on million dollar refit. Aid in material /vender selection on many parts of detailed refit.
Watchstanding underway Engineering and Helm. Over 300 24 hour days at sea on this vessel. Maintaining
engineering logs written and online (Wheelhousetech.com). Crane operator and Forklift Driver certificate.
Managing contractors during refits. Excellent communication skills writing procedures to train new people to
use ships systems. Weekly progress reports during ship yard to keep management informed. Plumbed engine
room sea chests for new air conditioning system.
Carol has years of experience managing people and million dollar project both in and out of yachting. Her training in Marine Engineering, Architecture, and Business has given me an eye for technical details. She has managed several refits on yachts. She holds a USCG issued Qualified Member of the Engine Room Rating and a 500GT USCG Captain license.
