Trudie has been in a myriad of capacities in the Health Care and Social Services around since 1995. She’s done both administrative work and direct care, including senior citizens, youth, and the mentally/physically impaired.
Experience
Provided life enhancing care for elderly couple allowing them to remain in their home. Worked
closely with the husband who deceased May 2017. Per request of family, I continue to support
wife. I am an integral part of family. Over time duties have become increasingly hands-on;
including total management of ADLs and IADLs. I am companion, friend and “life line” (her
words) to this wonderful and active centenarian.
Assisted with care of wife in throes of dementia. Soon assumed total responsibility of non-verbal,
non-ambulatory female from husband to provide respite. While she was unable to speak or walk,
we formed our own means of communication and an impenetrable bond. In addition, I created
5 Intellectual Properties/Trademarks and Patent Pending designs, self-published a children’s
book and began writing extensively. I remain close to husband.
